bit2me Argentina
YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — Bit2Me, a Spanish crypto exchange, received an operational license from Argentina’s National Securities Commission (CNV), allowing it to operate as a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP).
In March 2024, the CNV opened its registry for virtual asset service providers. Companies in the cryptocurrency sector that wish to operate in Argentina must be listed in this registry.
79 Crypto Providers Now Registered in Argentina
Since its launch, the CNV registry has expanded. It now lists 79 approved virtual asset service providers, including Bit2Me. The registry aims to protect investors while maintaining transparency. With this in mind, Bit2Me, with its approval, joins a group of companies operating under Argentina’s regulations. As a result, Bit2Me has an advantage in the competitive market.
Bit2Me’s $15 Million Investment to Expand in Latin America
Bit2Me has been growing its presence in Latin America. In addition, in June 2023, the company raised $15 million in a funding round. The goal was to strengthen its position in Spain while speeding up its regional growth. As a result, the funds helped expand operations, including acquiring a majority stake in the Peruvian crypto platform Fluyez in 2022.
Bit2Me also secured approval from the Bank of Spain in 2022, enabling it to offer services for virtual currency exchange and digital wallet custody in Spain. With these strategic moves, Bit2Me continues to focus on regulatory compliance as it expands across Latin America, including Argentina.
