JP Morgan Maintains ‘Buy’ Rating on Microsoft Stock: See Target

Shares of Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) moved past the $500 threshold this week, starting Tuesday’s session at $509. The technology giant has advanced roughly 7.7% since the start of the year and is now targeting the $550 mark. Most Wall Street analysts currently rate MSFT as a buy, encouraging institutional clients to establish a position in the stock. This bullish sentiment surged last month while the shares were fluctuating between $480 and $490.

Following the move above $500, Wall Street analysts have raised their price targets while reaffirming their existing ratings. Global investment banking leader JP Morgan has kept its buy rating on MSFT and advised institutional clients to ramp up their accumulation. The firm’s outlook suggests that Microsoft will not only clear the $550 barrier but also push past the $600 threshold.

Microsoft Stock Price Prediction From JP Morgan

JP Morgan Senior Equity Research Analyst Samik Chatterjee maintained a buy rating on Microsoft alongside a $625 price target. This projection represents a potential gain of about $115 per share for investors entering the market at current levels. It also translates to an approximate 20% return on investment (ROI) compared to the present $509 price point, meaning a $1,000 stake could grow to $1,200 if the target is met.

This forecast stands as one of the more optimistic predictions for Microsoft from Wall Street. RBC Capital previously issued the highest target of $640 for MSFT, pointing to the strong expansion of Copilot. Overall, large institutional firms maintain a positive outlook on the software leader. Amid an intensifying artificial intelligence race, the corporation has secured investments worldwide, bringing in $5.4 billion in annual revenue from M365 Copilot subscriptions while offering a base tier priced at $30 per month.
